Somewhere Beyond the Known

An upcoming novel by A. M. Flowers

There is a place where the jungle seems to breathe around you.

Where the rain never quite leaves the leaves, the nights are crowded with unfamiliar sounds, and even the most certain mind can begin to question what it knows.

I've been working on a new novel, Where We Were Placed, and this one is taking me somewhere rather unexpected.

Deep into the Ecuadorian Amazon.

At the center of the story is Evan Lenham, a man of science whose understanding of the universe has always depended upon evidence, reason, and the reassuring belief that reality behaves according to certain rules.

But what happens when those rules begin to shift?

When memories no longer agree?

When the familiar becomes subtly, impossibly different?

This is a story about consciousness, possibility, the choices we make, and perhaps the lives we never knew we could have lived.

There are things I won't reveal just yet.

Only that somewhere beneath the vast green canopy, Evan will encounter questions that cannot be answered by equations alone.

The manuscript is still taking shape, and I'm looking forward to sharing more as the journey unfolds.
